Liner Notes - What’s this about?

Are you a verified music snob or someone just looking for some cool new tunes? Ever get frustrated with the chore of firing up Spotify or Apple Music and trying to find something you might like? I’ve got you covered with Liner Notes - an insanely researched and curated weekly playlist that will land every Friday morning in your inbox. Perfect for that commute in your car or quality time listening sessions at home. Enjoy each 14-song list via Spotify or YouTube - whatever works for you.

Each week’s playlist could focus on a genre, sub-genre, specific artist, season, mood, place or other things I happen to engineer to form a cohesive and somewhat related group of songs. The newsletter will focus on my methodology in building that week’s playlist with some history and cultural tidbits thrown in for good measure. As a bonus, the “Odds & Sods” section will feature extra content related to the artists featured that week - anything from recent news links you may have missed or podcast appearances or media mentions you should know about.

Who’s behind this? I’m Tim, a lifelong music lover and popular culture obsessive with a premium Spotify account and several hours a week of available time to piece together eclectic and pleasing playlists. I’ve also dabbled in some other online projects you may or may not have heard of. Care for a doughnut or visiting Detroit anytime soon?

I think you’ll dig my playlists, they’re put together by a real human (me) and aren’t reliant on algorithm robots. Please join me.
